Schedules vary by city and are emailed to the address on your registration form 1–2 weeks before the event. A typical weekend: Friday competition (times vary; may start as early as 7:00 AM) and bonus master classes around 7:00 PM; Saturday registration at 7:00 AM, classes from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and competition from 3:00 PM; Sunday classes from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, followed by the Faculty Show and Scholarship Presentation.
Yes. Hollywood Vibe offers classes in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theater, and Ballet across all convention levels each weekend.
Yes. Dancers must be registered for the full convention in order to enter the competition.
Lunch is not provided by Hollywood Vibe. Most host hotels and convention centers offer concessions on site. We recommend having lunch ready for your dancers before the break so they can get back to the floor quickly.
Personal photography and video recording is not permitted during classes or competition — this protects the privacy and safety of all dancers, as well as the work of our faculty and choreographers. Professional photo and video services are available on site through Mosaic at photos.mosaicpv.com.
For Minis, auditions take place on Saturday during the final class. For Juniors, Teens, and Seniors, auditions take place Sunday during the second or third class of the day.
Dancers may audition in a higher age level but never lower. Age-appropriate scholarship auditions are always honored regardless of which workshop level a dancer attends. Please speak with a director at the event to confirm placement.
Yes. We understand our dates occasionally shift slightly from season to season. Your scholarship remains valid until we return to that city.
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required for each competition entry at registration. Deposits are not transferable. If your finalized entry count falls more than 10% below what you reserved, unused deposits are forfeited. See the full policy on our Competition page.
Upload all music through the registration portal one week before the event. Accepted formats are .mp3, .m4a, and .aif. We recommend bringing a backup on a phone, computer, or flash drive. If incorrect music plays, notify backstage immediately.
Studios are limited to 30 total acts per location, including solos, with a maximum of one solo per dancer. Additional acts are available based on the number of dancers you bring — see Entry Limits on our Competition page for details.
