Hollywood Vibe was founded in 1998 by Christopher Smith — the son of a dance studio owner, trained at the Buffalo Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, Buffalo Ballet Theater, and the University of Buffalo. Inspired by his late mother Eugenia, Chris built Hollywood Vibe around a simple idea: put the dancer first.
Twenty-eight years later, that mission hasn't changed.
Our faculty are not just great teachers — they are working professionals. Choreographers and dancers currently active in film, television, live stage, and music. They have appeared on Dancing with the Stars, America's Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and The Goldbergs. They have choreographed for Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Nick Jonas, the Backstreet Boys, Madonna, and Michael Jackson. They have performed in Wicked, Grease Live, Teen Beach Movie, Glee, and on stages around the world.
